River Yeo Bridge – N gauge layout by Stephen Ash
The layout depicts the crossing of the River Yeo by the Weston, Clevedon and Portishead railway, and also includes the coaling wharf, Wick St. Lawrence station, and associated sidings; this is the most significant, and scenic part of the line. The layout is constructed using four boards, each of 75cm (2ft 6in) length, and is self supporting. No separate lighting is yet installed. It is built in N-Gauge, using code 80 track, with 009 track on the bridge itself to depict the larger sleepers used. The layout was prepared for the WCPR exhibition held in Portishead in October 2017, and was the subject of much historical interest. It was again exhibited at the WC&PR Exhibition in October 2022. |
