Cadbury Road halt Distance from Weston : 11.4 miles

This halt served Weston in Gordano and was in fact very close to the village. The halt was sited alongside a track (Cadbury Lane – still existing) which leads southwards across the Gordano Valley to the Cadbury Camp ancient hilltop fortification. See detail map. You can walk along the old track bed from the village towards Clevedon for about half a mile. See The line today -North Section. Weston in Gordano village would be behind the hut in picture below. A siding was added to the south side of the line (opposite the shelter) during WW1 for off-loading manure from the Cavalry stables at Avonmouth! About 800 yards towards Portishead were sidings for the Black Rock & Nightingale Quarries.
